When you think of a castle wedding, you might imagine something stiff or overly formal. But Nicole and Nick’s celebration at Castle Ladyhawke in Tuckasegee, NC, proved that you can have the royal backdrop and throw an incredible party.

Set against the dramatic scenery of the Western North Carolina mountains, Castle Ladyhawke offers a Scottish-inspired aesthetic that is truly one-of-a-kind in this region. Nicole and Nick leaned into this elegance perfectly. Nick channeled a classic, high-end vibe in a white dinner jacket, while his groomsmen kept it sharp in black tuxedos. The morning started with a relaxed energy, featuring a poker game in the groom’s suite—a candid detail that set the tone for a fun, stress-free day.

The ceremony took place on the castle lawn, framed by the venue’s massive stone walls and the lush green valley below. For their portraits, we utilized the castle’s unique architecture, climbing the stone towers and walking along the ramparts. The mix of the rugged stone textures, Nicole’s sleek gown, and the soft mountain light created a cinematic look that felt like a modern fairytale.

As the sun went down, the energy turned all the way up. The reception on the outdoor deck was a highlight, featuring an unforgettable "Money Dance" where guests flooded the floor (and the couple!) with cash. It was a moment of pure joy and chaos that contrasted perfectly with the stately setting of the venue.
