FAQ

  • You will receive your images and videos online. You’ll receive an email when your content is ready and a link to view and download them. If you have your own image service you’d rather use, such as DropBox or GoogleDrive, I’ll gladly upload them there.

  • Your gallery will remain online from 6 months to 1 year. I strongly advise you back up your content to an online storage service such as Google Drive or DropBox.

  • All dates are reserved once I have received your signed contract and retainer — or first payment of your payment plan.

  • Depending on the season, the typical turnaround for photos is 2-4 weeks for weddings. For videos, expect a 3-4 week turnaround.

  • I am never leaving or packing up on the dot! Some moments just can’t be rushed. However, if you/we feel you would benefit from substantially more time than we initially thought, I will charge an hourly rate of $500/hr.

  • Generally, your planner and/or caterers will go over the plan for vendor meals. Vendor meals are typically paid for by the couple to ensure the vendors (photo, video, planners, DJ,..etc) are fed throughout the evening.

If you aren’t paying for vendor meals, I’ll just need to know ahead of time.

  • No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. We promise we aren’t withholding anything from you!

  • My overall photography style is to capture your wedding as naturally, organic and unposed as possible.

However, a shot list is certainly recommended if there are specific items or moments you would like documented that I may otherwise not know about.

  • Yes, I have a network of experienced photographers and videographers I can call upon! First in line would be my wife Kaitlyn.

  • As introverts, our style of photography is very laid back and relaxed. You won’t find too many overly posed photos in your gallery. Rather, we believe in capturing all the natural and candid moments between you, your partner, and your wedding guests.

  • Pricing can be found here.

  • Yes! We can create a custom photography or videography package to suit your needs.

  • There is no travel fee for travel up to 80 miles outside of Asheville, 28801.

For driving distances over 80 miles, we will add-on the average nightly hotel rate for that area.

For driving distances over 120 miles, we will add-on the average nightly hotel rate for that area for two nights.

  • Any cancelation within 90 days of your wedding will not receive a refund.

Cancellations outside of 90 days will be refunded all moneys paid, less the retainer payment.

Retainer payments are used to reserve your date. Once I've reserved your date, I cannot accept new clients for that day. If you cancel, I’ve lost out on potential business.

We are fair and reasonable and will always do what we can to work out a solution.

Any weddings that are rescheduled will not incur any additional fees, and we will work with you on finding a new date.

  • Payments can be made a few different ways, but generally, you will make three separate payments for wedding photography or videography.

Your first payment is paid when you sign the contract, this locks you in and also works as your retainer payment. The second payment is due at the halfway mark to your wedding day. The third payment is due 15-30 days before your wedding.

Example: If you are booking on January 1st, your wedding is next January 1st, and your wedding package is $3,600, you’ll pay 3 payments of $1,200 on 1/1, 7/1 and 12/1.

  • Yes, we are bodily injury and property liability insured by HISCOX business insurance. If your venue requires it, we can provide a COI.

  • Each session comes with full-resolution image downloads.

We do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product.

  • We shoot with all Canon equipment. Currently, we are shooting with multiple Canon R6 ii’s and R6 iii’s.

These cameras are equipped with dual SD card slots to ensure that if something happens with one sd card, there is a second backup card also writing your data.

This is the standard in the wedding and event industry.

  • First and foremost, our cameras record to two SD cards simultaneously. That ensures your photos remain safe and available in the highly unlikely event one SD fails.

After the wedding, your photos/videos are off-loaded onto external hard drives that we edit off of.

They are then loaded onto a second desktop hard drive that’s constantly being backed up to the cloud.

So if you’re counting, your photos and videos are safely stored in multiple locations on and off site.
